The Islanders home town might be Peterborough, but the team plays all over the country in the English National Ice Hockey League, visiting areas such as Cardiff, Coventry, Milton Keynes, Oxford, Swindon, Solihull, Telford and the Isle of Wight in our our division, and many other teams and areas in the playoffs.
Ice hockey is one of, if not 'the' fastest growing spectator sport in the UK today, and is acknowledged as the fastest team sport in the world. Spectating a game has a great family atmosphere, and ice hockey is a sport that appeals to all ages and professions and one of the very few that crosses the usual sporting gender barriers.
With your name somewhere on the strip, the kit, in the match game programme, or the web site, your business can reach a far wider audience than just Peterborough or your normal advertising methods. Remember too that many of our opponents have a following team of supporters that come to our home games.
The Islanders are not funded by the Sports Council or any other government sporting fund - we as a team rely solely on revenue generated by ticket sales, advertising, and sponsorship.
